The Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education is hosting the 2nd annual National Entrepreneurship Week, February 23 - March 1, 2008. In response to the U S House of Representatives Resolution # 699, passed in June, 2006, local, state, and national events will take place to honor America's entrepreneurs and to encourage the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

-- Monday, February 25: The NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation is hosting
a day of celebrations in Washington DC. This includes the Extreme
Entrepreneurship Tour, sponsored by the US Small Business
Administration (SBA) at Howard and George Washington Universities. Join
us for the Official Launch on Capitol Hill from 5 to 7:30 PM.
-- Tuesday, February 26: NY REAL Enterprises is hosting a day of
displays of student artwork, discussions with artists and entrepreneurs
at the Wellsville Creative Arts Center in rural NY. A second event will
feature the newly formed Ohio Coalition for Entrepreneurship.
-- Wednesday, February 27: Next is California to visit students in a K-12
Charter School featuring entrepreneurship at every grade level. At Ivy
Academia you will watch children in grades 4 - 9 present their essays
on the "Car of the Future". Hear students from grades 6 - 9 present
their business plans to earn the "Top Entrepreneur Award".
-- Thursday, February 28: Journey with us to Lincoln, Nebraska where the
Department of Education and the University of Nebraska are encouraging
everyone to "Imagine the Possibilities". Meet Congressman Tom Osborne
co-sponsored the House Resolution in support of National
Entrepreneurship Week.
-- Friday, February 29: This Leap Year day join the young entrepreneurs
and their teachers at the WV State Capitol as they launch their many
events with the help of Governor Joe Manchin. Check out their lemonade
stands selling to the legislators, and hear about the business lessons
learned.
