Reynolds to Head Insurance Operations for Horace Mann

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., April 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Horace Mann Educators Corp. (NYSE: HMN) announced today that Douglas W. Reynolds has been appointed to the newly created position of Executive Vice President Insurance Operations. In addition to his Property & Casualty and strategic plan implementation responsibilities, Reynolds will also be responsible for the Life & Annuity and Client Service operations.

Reynolds, 53, joined Horace Mann in 2001 as Executive Vice President of the Property & Casualty business. The Information Technology division, which reported to Reynolds since 2004, will now become part of the Corporate Services division reporting to Senior Vice President, Paul Andrews.
