CompUSA Provides Website for Consumer Inquiries on Customer Service Programs and Policies

DALLAS, Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- CompUSA, a leading retailer of technology products conducting an orderly wind-down of retail operations at its 103 stores, today announced that a special purpose website has been developed to provide consumers with up-to-date information related to the company's customer service programs and policies. The website can be accessed at www.compusaconsumerhelp.com. Information on the website will be updated regularly.

The website provides information on the retailer's policies with respect to extended warranties, gift cards, rain checks, rebates and other customer service programs. Relevant 800 numbers and hyperlinks will be posted to the website to assist with customer inquiries.

CompUSA's Technology Assurance Plan (TAP), the extended warranty service purchased by customers for their personal computers will be fully honored by special arrangement with Assurant Solutions, which has been a service partner of CompUSA for several years. If customers under this plan do not have repair issues, no action is required on their part. Customers with repair issues should call a special toll-free line at 1-877-520-8324, or visit Assurant's website at http://www.assurantsolutions.com/extendedprotection/contactUs.html.

CompUSA also announced that after December 12, 2007, all sales in its stores are final. Signage has been posted advising customers of this policy.
