Construction SuperConference Speakers Receive Top Awards

Nick Raynsford, MP and Chairman of UK Construction Industry Council was awarded "Personality of the Year" and Ian Tyler, Chief Executive of Balfour Beatty, was awarded "Chief Executive of the Year."

Nick Raynsford is well acquainted with large infrastructure projects, particularly railways. Ian Tyler, Chief Executive of Balfour Beatty, is a chartered accountant having worked with Arthur Andersen in London. He worked with Hanson plc and was Finance director of its subsidiary ARC Ltd. He joined Balfour Beatty in 1996 as Finance Director and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in August 2002, before becoming Chief Executive in January 2005. His insights into the construction industry will be greatly valued at the SuperConference.
