MercyCare Community Physicians Chooses Sage Intergy Practice Management and Electronic Health Records System for Interoperability and Connectivity

TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sage Software today announced that Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based MercyCare Community Physicians (MCCP) has selected the integrated Intergy by Sage for its Practice Management System and Intergy EHR by Sage for its Electronic Health Records needs. The systems will support 74 MercyCare providers plus an additional 20 providers through their Managed Services Organization (MSO) in a total of 20 sites.

MercyCare Community Physicians is associated with Mercy Medical Center (MMC), a 445-bed regional hospital. The Intergy implementation will include several bidirectional interfaces between the practice and hospital's Meditech(R) Hospital Information System, to eliminate duplicate data entry and enable electronic laboratory and radiology orders and results. Physicians at MCCP will also be able to import into a patient's electronic record physician rounding and operative notes from the hospital's system.

Additionally, MCCP will be implementing the Enterprise Desktop, for total administrative control over all practices from a single desktop.
