TOTVS Begins Operations in Europe

SAO PAULO, Brazil, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TOTVS S.A. (BOVESPA: TOTS3), the Brazilian and Latin American leader in the development and marketing of enterprise application software and the provision of related services for small businesses, is beginning operations in Europe. Its first venture in the continent, called EuroTOTVS, is based in Lisbon and will be primarily targeting Portugal and the Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP). EuroTOTVS will sell and implement all TOTVS products in these regions, as well as providing clients with technical support and upgrades.

Following its international business development plan, the Company invested around 1 million euro in the implantation of EuroTOTVS, which will begin business with 18 clients in Portugal and 6 in Angola, an operational workforce of 21 and entirely localized solutions that are wholly tailored to local processes and legislative demands.

The new company will be headed by Filipe Rhodes, a Portuguese national who has worked for RM Sistemas - a Group company - since 1988. Currently, Rhodes is RM's Rio de Janeiro Regional Director.

TOTVS already maintains its own operations in Mexico, Argentina and other Latin American countries. In September last, the Company set up an international expansion area, headed by Flavio Balestrin. The area will act to structure new direct or indirect sales channels in strategic markets.

Currently, TOTVS products are available in Portuguese (versions for Brazil and Portugal), Spanish and English.
