NaSTEC is the annual technical conference of the Network and Systems Professionals Association (NaSPA).
Michael Baum, chief executive officer at Splunk will deliver a presentation that will highlight the complexity and scale of on-demand environments. Michael will address the velocity of data generated by next generation data centers, emerging tools that enable system administrators to quickly find what's happening with their distributed applications and strategies to troubleshoot more effectively. infrastructure components. Attendees will learn investigation
best practices and methods for securing logging
infrastructures, anonymizing logs and preventing unauthorized
access and tampering of logs.

21, 10:30-11:45 a.m. CDT
Christina Noren, vice president product management and support,
will address reporting based on log data, compliance-mandated
activities, security event management, review and signoff of
specific individual or summarized security events, root cause
investigations, and monitoring employee activity.

Friday and Saturday, October 20 4:00-5:15 p.m. CDT and October
21, 1:00-2:15 p.m. CDT
Christina Noren and Mark Cohen will provide an in-depth look at
MTA logs for Sendmail, Exim, Postfix and Exchange. Topics will
address logging relaying attempts, queue failures, tracking
mail paths, and virus detection and removal. Attendees will
also learn about web server logs and configuration, configuring
Apache to log, and Tomcat Java Application Server logs.
