Jodange Raises $1.2 Million in the Toughest of Economic Climates

Series A Round Accelerates Leadership in Opinion and Sentiment Analytics

NEW YORK, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Jodange Inc. (www.jodange.com), the company building the world's first Opinion Utility, announced today the completion of $1.2 Million in early stage funding that will allow the company to extend its reach in the media, legal, energy and technology sectors. Led by Big Red Ventures, this round includes investments from a number of private investors including well known technology investors: Dennis Bennie, Nick Grewal and Eyal Shavit.

Through business applications that enable companies and decision makers to better understand the opinions expressed by those who are influencing their customers, competitors and the marketplace, Jodange provides the analysis that encourages its users to remain flexible and adapt to ever-changing realities. By identifying and isolating individuals' opinions and sentiments about key topics, Jodange technology understands who is worth listening to and how best to correlate their opinions to business outcomes over time.

"This round of financing is an endorsement of the potential that exists for delivering sentiment analytics that goes beyond the basic high level positive or negative labeling that so many companies provide today," said Larry Levy, CEO and Co-Founder of Jodange. "We'll now have the resources to fill the void that exists for sentiment analysis in the media, legal, energy and technology sectors. The fire hose of data is finally being tamed!"

"BR Ventures is very impressed by Jodange's technology leadership and customer acceptance in sentiment analytics, and firmly believe that they are well positioned even at this early stage, to grow aggressively in this space," said Roy Ashok, investment manager at BR Ventures, who led the deal. "We are excited to play a crucial role in supporting their growth going forward."

The Series A financing round comes as the company experiences strong growth following the November 2008 launch of Top of Mind(TM), the only service to rapidly mine vast amounts of information in order to surface and filter opinions from the web. During the same time Jodange has seen strong adoption of its topic specific gadgets, with a user base of over 2,000. During that time, the company also received a grant from The National Science Foundation.
