TI names Kent Novak senior vice president and general manager, DLP(R) Products

DALLAS, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today announced that Kent Novak has been elected senior vice president & general manager of TI's DLP Products division. In his new role, Novak will direct all development and delivery of DLP technology including all core business units and emerging applications within the division.

"Kent's marketing insights and global experience will make him a vital asset to the DLP Products division," said Gregg Lowe, TI senior vice president. "I am confident that Kent's extensive experience and deep understanding of customers' needs will make him an integral part of the DLP team."

Novak joined TI in 2003 and most recently served as vice president, Medical & High Reliability, where he directed the definition and production of leading-edge devices for market segments including: medical devices; military and defense; space and aerospace; test and measurement; and other high reliability applications.

Novak holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
