VIENNA, Va., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- INDUS Corporation, a leading Federal Information Technology (IT) solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Carleton S. Jones as Vice Chairman.

Working with Shiv Krishnan, Chairman and Chief Executive of INDUS, and other senior company leaders, Mr. Jones will help determine and guide the direction of the company in such critical areas as strategic planning, customer relationships, corporate business development, industry partnerships, and growth through acquisition of other companies.

"As INDUS's growth and market breadth and prominence continue to accelerate, we can certainly benefit from Carleton's sound guidance and judgment. He is highly respected in our business and brings just the right savvy and perspective to our team," Krishnan said. "I am very enthusiastic about Carleton's decision to accept my invitation to come to INDUS."

Mr. Jones brings considerable industry knowledge and experience to his new role at INDUS. "It is exciting and truly a pleasure for me to be working with Shiv Krishnan and his outstanding leadership team," said Jones. "INDUS is very well positioned to increase the pace of its growth, with a rock-solid performance record, critical core competencies, highly skilled professional staff, and solid customer relationships. I found the opportunity to join INDUS to be a most attractive choice as I considered what to do next."

A Federal 100 award winner, Jones has been prominent in industry organizations and affairs as an active participant in the Industry Advisory Council and the Professional Services Council, among other organizations. As a Vice Chair, he is currently among the Federal IT industry leaders serving in key positions supporting the 28th Annual Kidney Ball, to be held in November 2008.
