Jive Software Expands Internationally as Demand for Clearspace Increases

PORTLAND, Ore., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Jive Software, the pure-play collaboration software leader, today announced that it is opening new offices in the US and Europe in Silicon Valley, London, and Zurich, amid rapidly increasing international demand for its flagship product, Clearspace. The expansion follows record sales in 2007, when Jive experienced 325% year over year sales growth and landed more than 800 new customers.

"We're seeing a huge demand for Clearspace worldwide -- more and more businesses are discovering the benefits of a people-centric approach to collaboration in the enterprise," said Dave Hersh, CEO, Jive Software. "The openings of our Silicon Valley, London and Zurich offices mark the beginning of our international expansion to meet this demand."

Jive's recent international customer wins include Nokia Siemens Networks, Screwfix, Becta and Hitachi Europe.

In addition, Jive has more than quadrupled its headcount in the past year, with an emphasis on the sales, support and international teams. Blogger and social software expert Gia Lyons is joining the Jive team as a social software evangelist. In her new role, Ms. Lyons will further Jive's thought leadership position by overseeing the company's "Jive Talks" blog and educate Jive's customers, partners and community about social software and Clearspace. Ms. Lyons joins Jive from IBM, where she served as Social Software Evangelist with a focus on IBM Lotus Connections. She has been developing collaborative solutions since 1996.

"Social software has the ability to transform the way people work by creating an open, collaborative environment that's not limited by location or department," said Gia Lyons, social software evangelist, Jive Software. "Jive and Clearspace are at the forefront of the social software movement. I'm thrilled to join the team and continue to spread the word."

Jive's flagship products, Clearspace and Clearspace Community, are the first enterprise-class collaboration and social software applications that combine the latest content creation tools with community-driven intelligence.
