Ticketmaster and NHL Partner for Resale Ticketing Service

NEW YORK and WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The National Hockey League (NHL) and Ticketmaster today announced they have entered into an exclusive multi-year agreement to create an NHL resale ticketing service to be powered by Ticketmaster. As part of the agreement, Ticketmaster has been named the "Official Resale Ticket Provider of the NHL."

The NHL resale ticketing service will provide fans looking to buy or sell NHL tickets a safe, convenient and league-endorsed resale platform. Ticketmaster will operate the official league-wide exchange that will be accessible from both Ticketmaster.com and NHL.com. The service will undergo an initial launch this season and will become fully operational for the 2008-09 season.

Ticketmaster now provides primary ticket services, including advance and onsite single-game ticket sales, season ticketing and group ticketing for 26 NHL teams. Additionally, 14 NHL teams (the Anaheim Ducks, Atlanta Thrashers, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks and Washington Capitals) already use Ticketmaster's fan resale ticketing platform.
