AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Plexus Systems, providers of the on-demand manufacturing performance system Plexus Online, today announced that the company has implemented the latest generation of advanced, reliable, and secure data hosting for disaster recovery.
Plexus Online selected a "Tier 3" data center in Asheville, North Carolina as the company's disaster recovery center. This collocation facility is more than 500 miles away from the company's primary data center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and replaces another disaster recovery facility that the company had operated in Michigan.
"Separating our primary data center from our disaster recovery site provides a level of redundancy and safety for our clients that is virtually impossible for them to match with an internal system deployment," said Mark Symonds, CEO and president of Plexus. Our clients operate their entire businesses on our on-demand software, so it is imperative that our disaster recovery facility has processes and safeguards in place for optimal performance and reliability. We're confident the strategically-located hosting environment delivers the reliability necessary to support mission-critical manufacturing operations."
Plexus Systems contracted with leading data center provider Netriplex for its unsurpassed response times and zero downtime guarantees -- attributes critical to Plexus Online's business edge of providing on demand accessibility using the software as a service model.
Plexus Online is an on demand manufacturing performance system (MPS), combining the capabilities of enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), quality management, customer relationship management (CRM), shop floor integration, and much more.
