Brocade Demonstrates Interoperability at SNW Spring 2007

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brocade(R) (NASDAQ: BRCD) , the leader in networked storage solutions that help enterprises connect and manage their information, today announced that it is showcasing new product features that deliver interoperability between Brocade switches and the large installed base of McDATA SANs as a Platinum-level sponsor at the Spring Storage Networking World (SNW) conference. In addition to showcasing its interoperability solutions, Brocade will demonstrate its complete line of industry-leading File Area Network (FAN) and Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions which simplify data management and promote fast ROI. The conference runs from April 16 through April 19 in San Diego, California.

Brocade SAN demonstrations taking place in Platinum Galleria Kiosk #PG24 and in Exhibit Hall Booth #P16:

   *    Brocade will demonstrate native fabric interoperability throughout
        its comprehensive family of SAN directors and switches including
        direct E_Port interoperability with the Brocade 5000 32-port switch,
        Fibre Channel routing interoperability utilizing the Brocade 7500,
        and Brocade Access Gateway interoperability. This heterogeneous
        environment will be managed by Brocade Enterprise Fabric
        Connectivity Manager (EFCM), enabling centralized management of
        multi-vendor, multi-fabric, and multi-site SANs.

Brocade FAN demonstrations taking place in the FAN initiative section of the SNW Solutions Center and in Exhibit Hall Booth #P16:

   *    Brocade will demonstrate the benefits of applying its FAN solutions
        to enable enterprise-wide file data management in heterogeneous,
        geographically distributed computing environments. Brocade's family
        of Microsoft Windows-based FAN products provide customers with the
        ability to consolidate file resources with transparent movement of
        data; ensure continuous business operations by managing around
        service disruptions; implement effective automated, policy-based,
        and tiered data lifecycle management; and meet increasing demands
        around corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, Brocade will be providing an NPIV demonstration in the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) Booth #G22 and a FAN solutions demonstration in the Network Appliance Partner Pavilion #PPV4.

Brocade customer NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital has been named a finalist for the Computerworld SNW "Best Practices in Storage" Awards Program in the "Storage Reliability and Data Recovery" category. The top Honoree in each category will be announced on Wednesday, April 18 during the SNW Gala Evening event.
