3GSM WORLD CONGRESS 2007, BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) today announced that eMobile Ltd., a new wireless voice and data provider in Japan, has selected Oracle(R) Communications Billing and Revenue Management to provide a reliable, scalable billing platform that will enable the company to rapidly deploy next-generation mobile services. The company will work with Oracle to implement the application on Oracle Database 10g.

Oracle's software, selected over competing solutions, will help eMobile launch its wireless data service by this year and wireless voice service in 2008, in compliance with its license from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. EMobile chose Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management and Oracle Database 10g because it is a proven, scalable, standards-based solution set with out-of-the-box functionality. The company expects to realize a significant reduction in total cost of ownership due to the billing application's flexibility and advanced billing functionality.
