RICHARDSON, Texas, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Stream, a global provider of customer service and technical support, has announced plans to open its second Dominican Republic facility on October 16. This center will initially support existing contracts with two U.S.-based clients.

The management and the support professionals have been so successful that our clients have asked us to expand here in Santo Domingo," said Toni Portmann, CEO and president of Stream. "Stream currently provides 800 contact services jobs at its San Isidro Industrial Free Zone location and this will enable us to add another 450 employees."
Stream's new facility is located in Cyberpark, the country's first free zone park for technology companies. Eddy Martinez, the Dominican Republic's Secretary of State, expressed his pleasure with the announcement.

Through the addition of this second site, Stream will further contribute to Santo Domingo's growing economy. This new site means hundreds of new local jobs as well as promotional opportunities for existing employees.

In the past 18 months, Stream opened four new centers including the original site in Santo Domingo.
