CoffeeCup Software Users Donate Comfort Items to Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CoffeeCup Software Inc. announced today that through the generosity of their users and Website visitors, they are directly collecting and distributing Comfort Items for Hurricane Katrina evacuees brought to Texas.

In an e-mail to over 1,000,000 CoffeeCup Software users, Dr. Nicholas Longo, the CEO of CoffeeCup, wrote, "Hurricane Katrina has given us a different challenge. We have assessed the situation and have found a way we can all help in the most direct way." In the email users were asked to ship comfort goods like underwear, socks, razor blades, diapers, etc ... directly to the CoffeeCup office in Corpus Christi for distribution. "These comfort items will help the thousands upon thousands of evacuees that will be entering Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and throughout Texas within the next days and weeks."

"We are just heart broken over the suffering our own neighbors in Louisiana are going through," Dr. Longo said. "Imagine being in a shelter for months and what things you would need to make you comfortable. This is what we will deliver to evacuees personally on behalf of our visitors and users."
