STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AmeriCares is sending an emergency shipment in the wake of the tornados and violent storms that ripped through Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee. The aid includes over 8,000 pounds of medicines and supplies, including cough and cold medicines, bottled water, infant formula, medical supplies, diapers, hygiene products and cleaning supplies.
Current reports indicate that more than 50 people have been killed throughout the affected communities. AmeriCares is continuing to monitor the situation and is prepared to respond with further medicines and critical supplies.
