Beer Lover Gets Dream Job!

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- DRAFT Magazine proudly announces that its beer director, Scott Kerkmans, will be the first-ever Chief Beer Officer for Four Points by Sheraton, a Starwood Hotels brand. Scott won out over more than 7,500 applicants in a global competition of beer lovers and enthusiasts for a dream job -- beer ambassador for a global hotel brand.

While Scott stays on as DRAFT's beer director, he will also travel the country promoting Four Points' new Best Brews program. As the face of Best Brews, Scott will taste-test brews from around the world, tour breweries and beer fests, and teach hotel staff and guests about beer and beer culture.

Scott's love of all things beer runs deep. Besides past day jobs as a professional brewer in Alaska, Utah and New Mexico, Scott spends his free time tasting new brews, judging brews at beer festivals and even decorating his home with beer kegs at one point. Currently, Scott leads the reviews at DRAFT Magazine as its Beer Director. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
