William B. Harrison, Jr. Joins Investment Advisory Committee of Aurora Capital Group

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Aurora Capital Group, a private equity firm that specializes in buying and building middle-market businesses, today announced that William B. Harrison, Jr. 64, former Chairman and CEO of J. P. Morgan Chase, has joined the firm's Investment Advisory Committee. The Investment Advisory Committee helps Aurora's partners identify transactions and evaluate the capabilities of prospective executives, as well as contributing ongoing financial, management and marketing expertise.

Mr. Harrison is Former Chairman & CEO of JPMorgan Chase where he retired as Chairman at year-end 2006. Previously he had held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Chase Manhattan Corporation from June 1, 1999 and presided over the mergers with J.P. Morgan in 2000 and Bank One in 2004.

Mr. Harrison joined Chemical Bank in 1967 in New York, moved to San Francisco in 1976 to open the bank's first regional office, and then spent five years in London managing the firm's European business. He returned to the U.S. in 1983 and was put in charge of the bank's Global Banking and Corporate Finance Group. Beginning in 1992, he played a leading role in managing and merging the major firms - Chemical, Manufacturers Hanover, Chase Manhattan, J.P. Morgan and Bank One, in addition to Hambrecht & Quist, Flemings and Beacon creating one of the leading global financial institutions in the world.

Mr. Harrison is a director of Merck & Co., Inc., and a director of Cousins Properties, Inc. He is a member of The Business Council.

He serves on the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, is a member of the Board of Overseers of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a member of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, is on the Board of Directors of Conservation International, and is on the Board of Directors of The Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy. He also serves on the Board of Visitors of the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School, and the University of North Carolina Foundation and Investment Fund.

Mr. Harrison, who was born in 1943 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, received an A.B. degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School's International Senior Management Programme in Switzerland.
