Access Group, Inc. Names Christopher Chapman New President & CEO

WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Access Group, Inc., a nonprofit student loan provider specializing in loans for graduate and professional education, announced today that Christopher P. Chapman has been selected to be the company's new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Chapman will assume this role in late January, following the retirement of Access Group's long-time President and CEO, Daniel R. Lau.

Mr. Chapman has considerable experience in the student loan industry, having served as the President and CEO of ALL Student Loan, a California-based nonprofit student loan provider since 2001. Earlier, he served as Vice President of Student Loan Funding Resources, a student loan originator and secondary market, and as a Director of its joint venture loan servicing company, Intuition Holdings, Inc. From 1999-2000 he was a senior attorney with the law firm Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, working in their corporate, public finance and higher education practice areas, and providing general corporate and governmental affairs counsel to both nonprofit and for-profit entities.

Mr. Chapman received his bachelor's degree from Xavier University and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
