Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments

BRANCHVILLE, N.J., June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Selective Insurance Group, Inc. announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America ("Selective"):

  Jeffrey F. Beck (Lafayette Hill, PA), to vice president of Government
  Affairs. Mr. Beck joined Selective in February 2007. Before coming to
  Selective, he was the head of state government relations with Aetna, Inc.
  Mr. Beck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from
  Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA.

  Michael G. MacMullin (Ogdensburg, NJ), to vice president, Knowledge
  Management. Previously, he served as assistant vice president and personal
  lines operation program manager. Mr. MacMullin joined Selective in 1997 as
  an underwriter. Prior to that he was a team lead at AT&T Global
  Information Services/NCR. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism
  from Saint Michael's College in Winooski, VT and holds designations as a
  Project Management Professional (PMP), an Associate in Insurance
  Management (AIM) and an Associate in Underwriting (AIU). Additionally, Mr.
  MacMullin is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

  Diane L. Petercsak (Branchburg, NJ), to vice president and Director of
  Project Management. Previously, she served as assistant vice president and
  project manager.  Ms. Petercsak joined Selective in 2002 as vice president
  of managed care services.  Prior to joining Selective, Ms. Petercsak was a
  business systems director for Aetna/Prudential Healthcare. She holds a
  Bachelor of Arts (Magna cum laude) degree from Kean University in Union,
  NJ and holds a designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP). She
  is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

  Maryanne C. Spatola (Cedar Knolls, NJ), to vice president, Leadership &
  Professional Development.  Ms. Spatola joined Selective in February 2007.
  Prior to joining the company, she was the director of learning &
  organizational development at Crum & Forster.  Ms. Spatola holds a
  Bachelor of Arts degree in social science from Thomas Edison State College
  in Trenton, NJ and is a member of the Society for Human Resource
  Management (SHRM), American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), and
  the New Jersey Organizational Development Network (NJODN).

  Harald H. Stadlmann (Phoenixville, PA), to vice president, Enterprise Risk
  Management.  Mr. Stadlmann joined Selective in April 2007. Prior to
  joining Selective, he was the director of Insurance Enterprise Risk
  Services for SMART Group.  Mr. Stadlmann holds a degree in insurance from
  the University of Vienna, Austria-Insurance College in Vienna, Austria and
  holds a Certified Accountant designation in Austria.

  Suzana Insalaco (Newton, NJ), to assistant vice president, Business Case
  Manager.  Ms. Insalaco joined Selective in January 2007.  Prior to joining
  Selective, she was director of financial planning and IT controller for
  Liberty Travel.  Ms. Insalaco holds a Bachelor of Science degree from
  Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ and an MBA from Fairleigh
  Dickenson University in Madison, NJ.

  Robert L. Redden (Milford, PA) to assistant vice president, Information
  Strategy.  Previously, he served as business segment manager for
  Selective's Contractors Strategic Business Unit.  Mr. Redden joined
  Selective in 1988 as an intern.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
  communication studies from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ.
  Mr. Redden holds designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter
  (CPCU), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and a certified Project
  Management Professional (PMP).
