LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- School Loans Corporation (SLC), a leading financial services company specializing in the marketing and private labeling of education loans, today announced the hiring of Meliss Hankin for the newly created position of Sr. Vice President, Business Development. In this position, Ms. Hankin will oversee SLC's client relations, new business opportunities, portfolio growth, new product development, program management and sales.

Ms. Hankin joins SLC after a 23-year career with ACS Education Services, the nation's largest third party servicer of student loans and a subsidiary of ACS, a Fortune 500 company. Most recently, as Sr. Vice President, Guaranteed Loan Servicing Division, she managed a 700 employee division that provides business process outsourcing to lending institutions and secondary markets for student loan servicing and administration. During her time at ACS, she also held other management positions, including Vice President of Loan Origination and Client Relations, Director of Project Management-Government Contracting, Director of Guarantor Relations, Manager of Budgeting and Special Projects, and Manager of Client Relations. Ms. Hankin holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Law and Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
