The Detroit Press Club Foundation Calls for Entries in the 2008 International Wheel Awards

DETROIT, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Detroit Press Club Foundation announced today updated rules and entry details for the prestigious International Wheel Awards, honoring excellence in automotive journalism. Categories for Internet and Wire/News Service, as well as traditional print and broadcast media, round out the competition.

"Our expansion of the rules and categories reflect increased competition among an expanding variety of news and opinion outlets," said Edward Lapham, president of the DPCF and executive editor of Automotive News, "We're proud to continue presenting these important and respected awards."

Entries are open to material published, distributed or aired in 2007. Awards will be presented at a May 15 ceremony at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan. Entry deadline is March 15, 2008.

The International Wheel Awards competition and awards program are managed by the Individual Communicators Network on behalf of the DPCF. The awards reception is hosted by the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan.
