ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI) , today reported its November revenue passenger miles (RPMs), available seat miles (ASMs), and passengers enplaned all represent company records for the month.
AirTran Airways' traffic, measured by revenue passenger miles (RPMs), grew by 15.4 percent, to over 1.1 billion RPMs, on an increase of 19.1 percent in capacity, based on available seat miles (ASMs). November's load factor was 69.2 percent. The airline enplaned more than 1.6 million passengers in the month of November, a 14.5 percent increase from November 2005.
Year-to-date 2006 traffic grew 22.6 percent on a capacity increase of 24.1 percent, while load factor was 73.0 percent. The airline has enplaned a record number of passengers with 18,298,196 boardings year-to-date.
