Former U.S. Army Chief of Staff, General Dennis J. Reimer, to Lead DFI Government Services

WASHINGTON, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- DFI International announced today that General Dennis J. Reimer, USA (Ret.) will join the organization as president of its government services company. In his new role, General Reimer will provide both strategic direction and daily operational leadership of a premier provider of national security research, analysis, and knowledge management services. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, DFI International supports clients within the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, the U.S. intelligence community, and in the private sector.

General Reimer served for the past five years as director of the National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism, a non-profit organization in Oklahoma City founded to assist state, local, tribal, and national jurisdictions in preparing for and preventing future acts of terrorism on U.S. soil. Previously, General Reimer had served from 1995 to 1999 as the 33rd US Army Chief of Staff.

About General Reimer:

General Reimer, a native of Medford, Oklahoma, was born in 1939 and graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1962. His 37-year military career spanned command positions from company to division to service levels and included tours on a variety of Army, joint, and combined staffs. His distinguished career includes two combat tours in Vietnam.

General Reimer's numerous awards include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, two Legions of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, six awards of the Bronze Star Medal, including one with "V" for valor, the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

After retiring from the Army, General Reimer answered the nation's call to service once again by becoming the first Director of the National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism in Oklahoma City. He and his wife, Mary Jo, currently reside in Oklahoma and will be moving to the Washington area this summer.
