Omnicom Implements New SEC Rule for Internet Posting of Proxy Materials and Provides Details on its 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

NEW YORK, April 4, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Omnicom Group Inc. NYSE: OMC today announced that proxy materials for its 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders are available through the Internet under the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) new Notice and Access Rule.

Pursuant to the SEC's new Notice and Access rule, companies may satisfy their proxy materials delivery requirement by delivering a "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials" to shareholders, providing Internet access to the proxy materials and providing a printed set of proxy materials by mail to any shareholder who requests them. By implementing this alternative to the traditional approach of delivering a printed set of proxy materials to each shareholder, Omnicom has significantly reduced the number of printed copies of its Annual Report and Proxy Statement.

Omnicom's Proxy Statement for the 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders and its 2007 Annual Report on Form 10-K have been filed with the SEC, and may be viewed at Omnicom's website (www.omnicomgroup.com) under the heading "Investor Relations" and then under the item "Annual Reports" to access the 2007 Annual Report and the item "SEC Filings" to access the Proxy Statement.
