SAN FRANCISCO, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- CUTWATER today announced the appointment of Walter Smith as President. Smith succeeds Brad Harrington who has left the agency to pursue personal interests.

A seasoned advertising veteran with a career that spans three decades, Smith worked with Chiat/Day in both the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices in the 1980s. In the 1990's he was with Hal Riney & Partners before joining TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles in the early 2000s. He has spent the past three years as the Executive Managing Director of TBWA\G1-Europe located in Paris, France. In his most recent role, he oversaw all areas of communication for Nissan-Europe in France, UK, Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Central/Eastern Europe and the Nordics.
Additionally, Smith has led or worked on global, national and regional brands including Infiniti, Sprint PCS, Hewlett Packard, Compaq, Saturn, eToys, iOmega, Wachovia Bank, The Nature Conservancy, The San Francisco Ballet, Renault/Jeep and Ford Dealers.
